8.2.5. Replacement of epiploons of an output shaft of the transfer case

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Merge lubricant liquid from the transfer case. Remove forward section of system of production of the fulfilled gases and the thermofilter. Remove the forward driveshaft (see Removal and installation of driveshafts).
    By means of a special key release a lock-nut of a connecting flange.

The lock-nut is subject to replacement without fail.

    Mark with paint the provision of a connecting flange of rather carving pin.
    Remove a connecting flange by means of a stripper.
    Having used special adaptation take an epiploon from a forward casing.
    Establish a new epiploon, previously having greased its sealing sponges with universal lubricant. Establish a connecting flange.
    Tighten a lock-nut of a connecting flange with the required effort.
    Install the driveshaft. Installation of the remained components is made as it should be, the return to an order of their dismantle.


Back epiploon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Remove the back driveshaft. Take a back epiploon from a landing nest in the case of the transfer case.
    Previously having greased sealing sponges with universal lubricant, put a new epiploon and press it in a nest by means of a cylindrical mandrel as which it is possible to use the replaceable face head suitable by the size or a piece of a pipe of the corresponding diameter. The edge of a mandrel has to rest only against a rigid face surface of an epiploon.
    Install into place the back driveshaft.
