12.8. Replacement of lamps of lighting fixtures
Replacement of lamps of head headlights
When replacing any lamp, pay attention to the next moments:
Remember that flasks of lamps remain hot within about 20 minutes after shutdown of lighting fixtures. Before getting to work make sure that components finally cooled down;
Flasks of lamps of halogen and xenon type are filled with the gas which is under pressure and at sharp stirring can blow up. Try to take such lamps only for a socle and use goggles. Remember that at a flask contact with naked fingers on glass there are fatty spots that leads to a premature exit of a lamp out of operation as a result of an overheat. Before installation wipe a lamp flask with alcohol;
Always check a condition of socles of lamps and contacts of cartridges, before installation of a lamp without fail smooth out contact surfaces, completely deleting from them dirt and traces of corrosion;
You watch that the replaceable lamp in accuracy corresponded failed according to the electric characteristics (supply voltage and power).
On the Infiniti QX4 models block headlights of semi-tight type with replaceable halogen lamps are used.
