12.7. Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement of the breaker of indexes of turns / alarm system

The models of cars considered in the present manual are equipped with system of additional safety (SRS). Before starting performance of any works near the block of a safety cushion, a steering column or the dashboard, disconnect SRS in order to avoid getting injured at its casual operation. It is easy to distinguish an electrical wiring of a chain of SRS on yellow color of isolation. |
The breaker represents square shape of the relay, installed in the assembly block placed at the left under the dashboard (see the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement of Control Units of Various Systems on the Infiniti QX4 cars).
Serviceability of functioning of the breaker is confirmed by distinctly heard rhythmical clicking. Failure of one of control lamps leads to refusal of operation of the breaker. At refusal of one of indexes the frequency of operation of the breaker doubles, informing the driver on need of carrying out replacement of a lamp.
The simultaneous refusal of both indexes with high degree of probability demonstrates failure of the corresponding safety lock. Also the possibility of failure actually of the breaker, or the understeering switch is not excluded.

Check a condition of contact connections of an electrical wiring of the corresponding chain. At knocking-out of a safety lock check an electrical wiring for existence of signs of short circuit.
For replacement of the breaker pull it vertically up and take from the landing nest.
Track that the replaceable breaker corresponded failed on a standard size.
Installation is made upside-down.
