5.9. System of automatic air conditioning – a design and the principle of functioning
The automatic amplifier and electric motors of mixing and distributing gates are united among themselves in small local network by means of lines of food and data exchange. The network has tire topology (see
the illustrations Scheme of the Organization of Local Network of Management of System of Automatic Air Conditioning and Function Chart of Elements of Management of Local Network
), short circuit of network is carried out on a contour of grounding of electric motors.
Address information, teams of management of functioning of gates and the message of control of mistakes are given on the network tire in the form of data exchange packages.
The local control units which are built in electric motors of the drive of both gates carry out the following functions:
Recognition of address information;
Decoding of data on the angles of opening of gates;
Making decision on start and stop of the drive;
Control of an angle of opening of the gate;
The comparative analysis of the entering teams;
On the basis of the analysis of the data arriving from the corresponding information sensors the automatic amplifier defines the necessary angles of opening of managing directors of gates and issues commands to local control units (LCU) of driving electric motors (see an illustration the General scheme of the organization of management of functioning of system of automatic air conditioning).
Control units recognize the commands addressed to them and by comparison of the entering data with data from sensors of position of the gates carry out the corresponding updating of the provision of the last, regulating thereby temperature parameters (HOT/COLD) and the direction of distribution (DEFROST/VENT) of the car of an air stream given to salon (see the illustration Principle of Functioning of System of Automatic Control).

The choice of the high-speed mode of the fan is made on the basis of value of temperature set to maintenance, indications of sensors of ambient temperature, temperature in interior of the car, temperature of the entering stream and sunlight, and also data on the current position of the mixing gate. At the cold engine activation of the fan is made with the certain delay allowing to avoid giving in salon of the cooled air.
Automatic control of position of the inlet gate is made on the basis of value of temperature set to maintenance, indications of sensors of ambient temperature, temperature in interior of the car, temperature of the entering stream and sunlight, and also data on a condition of the compressor (is included/is switched off).
Value of temperature set to maintenance, and also indications of sensors of ambient temperature, temperature in interior of the car, temperature of the entering stream and sunlight belong to number of the parameters defining position of the final gate.
Control of functioning of a magnetic clutch coupling of the compressor is exercised by the module of engine management (ECM) on the basis of information on the provision of a butterfly valve and data arriving from the automatic amplifier of system of climate control.
The self-diagnostics contour providing continuous monitoring of a state and serviceability of functioning of under control components of system and issue of information on the revealed violations is a part of the automatic amplifier.
